Active Travel and Transport

In designing access to the location, we have considered walking and cycling first, and our plans include a pavement and cycle path. There is no pathway at the moment on Ffordd Newydd, so we think our design will make active travel easier and improve access by local residents to, for example, the play area and community centre next to the development. There is also a bus stop right next to the site.

We are designing for the future and planning to include e-charging facilities which may be able to be shared with Aberporth residents, to help everyone move towards low carbon vehicles.

Some residents have raised questions about the access for cars with regard to safety, and we would like to reassure residents that we have been in extensive negotiation with Ceredigion Council’s highways team to ensure that the design is safe and appropriate.
